Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based, person-centered communication approach that helps people strengthen their own motivation for change. Rather than persuading or directing, MI focuses on partnership, empathy, and evoking what matters most to the individual.
In this introductory course, participants will learn the core spirit and skills of Motivational Interviewing and how to apply them in every day conversations. Through practical examples, interactive exercises, and real-world scenarios, learners will gain tools to reduce resistance, enhance engagement, and support meaningful behavior change.
This course is ideal for mental health and healthcare professionals, leaders, educators and anyone whose work involves helping others navigate change.
